Legal & General Retirement is seeking a data architect of proven ability to take full responsibility for the technical data analysis for the LGR division providing control of all LGR data structures and data strategies for all LGR management and operational platforms, to enable divisional confidence in the current and future integrity of their data.

Customer Services & Solutions (CSS), a division of LGR, is responsible for all customer contact, customer solutions, technology transformation, business transformation, and the provision of asset & liability data and risk analytics to the Group.

LGR is seeking a data architect of proven ability to take full responsibility for the technical data analysis for the LGR division providing control of all LGR data structures and data strategies for all LGR management and operational platforms, to enable divisional confidence in the current and future integrity of their data.

You will provide a level of governance to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and traceability of the data is maintained across all the management and operational systems to support the solvency II, liability and financial reporting requirements.

You will provide guidance and advice to senior management to ensure the business & IT Strategy is underpinned by the data strategies and architecture enabling and supporting the delivery of strategic objectives.
 

Acquiring understanding of a problem or situation by breaking it down systematically into its component parts and identifying the relationships between these parts.

Expert in techniques; which help in modelling and understanding a business and its operation. Examples: functional business models, statistical process control, relational data modelling, use case.

Proficient in standards associated with the practitioner's current Role. Examples: End to end, product development model, Group policies and procedures, acquisitions and mergers policies.

Proficient in techniques for streamlining business processes; which have been modelled and understood. Examples: lean methodology, error proofing, value added assessment, process cycle time reduction, future proofing, resilience, reliability, cost effectiveness.

Proficient in methods and techniques for preparing and presenting business benefits and statements of requirements both orally and in writing.

Detailed knowledge of financial services market

Understanding the hierarchy and culture of own, customer and supplier organisations and being able to identify the decision makers and influencers in order to successfully implement target-operating model.

A thorough understanding of all Retirement products and the related benefit structures of defined benefit schemes.
